Fusion Heat and Power are pleased to be involved with the prestigious project of the conversion of a historic department store in the North East. The iconic Joplings building has been serving Sunderland for over two hundred years, and since closure has been stood empty in the centre of town. The building has now been bought by developers who are converting to 178 en-suite student apartments, with commercial units on the ground floor.

Further information on the history of the joplings building can be found by clicking here.Fusion Heat and Power have been tasked with the full design and installation of the heating and hot water system within the building, with 8 x 100Kw boilers delivering the heating via plate heat exchangers on each floor, and 4 x 1000 litre fast recovery cylinders for the hot water system, giving a highly efficient and effective solution for the building.

We at Fusion are proud to be involved in project with such historical significance.
